Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

Our evaluations comprise a thoughtful assessment of current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, past treatment, relationships, environment, and other factors relevant to understanding what is happening. For these reasons, all initial evaluations are scheduled for 90 minutes. If clinically indicated, the evaluation may continue across additional appointments to allow sufficient time to clarify the diagnosis and develop an appropriate treatment plan.

Medication Management

When appropriate, medication may be recommended as part of your overall treatment plan. Medication selection and management are individualized, with careful consideration of potential benefits, side effects, alternatives, and your response to treatment over time. These considerations remain part of an ongoing, collaborative conversation throughout treatment.

Follow-up appointments are provided at durations including: 60 minutes, 30 minutes, and 15 minutes. 15 minute appointments are available for established patients when clinically appropriate. Longer session duration is an available option for couples and family therapy sessions when indicated.

Individual Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy at Manifold is tailored to your needs, goals, and the nature of the concerns we are addressing. Sessions may be exploratory, practical, supportive, or challenging, addressing immediate concerns, longstanding patterns, or both. Therapy may be ongoing and longer-term, or, when clinically appropriate, structured as a shorter course of approximately 10–20 sessions focused on particular concerns or goals.

Couples & Family Therapy

Couples and family therapy focuses not only on the individuals involved, but on the relationships and patterns that exist between them. When possible and clinically appropriate, family therapy at Manifold aims to include all members of the family system, rather than placing the responsibility for change on a single person. Sessions may explore communication, conflict, roles, boundaries, recurring patterns, and the ways family members affect and respond to one another.

Treatment may focus on a particular concern or transition, or involve longer-term work toward change within the relationship or family as a whole. In some circumstances, individual therapy for one or more family members may be recommended, or may be necessary to support continued family therapy. Individual therapy does not need to be provided at Manifold and may be continued or established with another therapist.
